Promotion Period: The Autism Research Institute (the 'Sponsor') Photo Contest (the “Photo Contest”) will commence at 12:00:01 AM Central Time (“CT”) on March 29, 2013 and end at 11:59 PM CT on June 30, 2012.
THE PHOTO CONTEST: Enter by uploading photos on the ARI Photo Contest Submission Page. Photo must be in either .jpeg or .bmp image format and cannot exceed 3 MB in size.
You must be a parent or legal guardian of the individual with autism depicted in the photo. Photo must be professional quality with full publication rights (contact photographer for a release if needed) unpublished and may not have won any prize or award.
LIMIT: One (1) entry per household.
PHOTO SUBMISSION GUIDELINES: Qualified entries must depict individuals with an autism spectrum disorder. All entries are final upon submission and become property of ARI. Submitted images become property of ARI - images (digital, printed, etc.) will not be returned to entrants. Entry materials may not contain brand names or trademarks. ARI reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to reject and/or disqualify any entries, subjects, or related materials that ARI deems to be nude, obscene, defamatory, profane, offensive, lewd, pornographic, false, misleading, deceptive, or otherwise inconsistent with its editorial standards, audience expectations, or reputational interests or that ARI believes may violate any applicable law or regulation or the rights of any third party. ARI reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to verify any element of any entry or related materials, request additional information and to disqualify any entrant whose participation may subject the contest, ARI, or customers to controversy, negative publicity, scorn, or ridicule.
PHOTO CONTEST WINNER SELECTION: By submitting a photo, you are giving ARI permission to use the image on its website, promotional eblasts, and printed publications. ARI has rights to use all photos submitted; this applies to all entries regardless of final prize status (ie, photos may be used at ARI's discretion whether they are awarded a prize or not).
Winners will be selected by random drawing from among all eligible entries performed by ARI staff. Drawings are final, unappealable and binding in all respects.
FINALIST/WINNER’S NAMES: Drawing winners' names will be listed on ARI's Facebook page and the May 2013 ARI e-newsletter.

USE OF PHOTOGRAPHS NOT GUARANTEED TO ANY ENTRANTS, INCLUDING PRIZE WINNERS: Appearance of submissions on ARI promotions and its website is subject to ARI’s sole discretion. ARI is not responsible for any circumstances that make it impractical or impossible to use any photos submitted or to fulfill this element of the prize, which has no retail value, for contest winners. If it becomes impractical or impossible to fulfill this element, ARI will have fulfilled its prize obligation by having provided the remaining elements of the prize.

ELIGIBILITY: This Promotion is open to legal residents of the 50 United States, and the District of Columbia, 18 years of age or older. Employees of ARI and their immediate family members and household members are not eligible to enter or win. "Immediate family members" shall mean parents, step-parents, children, step-children, siblings, step-siblings, or spouses. "Household members" shall mean people who share the same residence at least three months a year.
CONDITIONS/WARRANTIES: Entrants agree to be bound by Official Rules and agree that if any winner fails to provide proof of identity, refuses to provide documentation, is found to have violated the Official Rules or otherwise does not meet eligibility criteria, prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner. Entrants understand that ARI is not liable for injuries, losses or damages of any kind arising from participation in this promotion and acceptance, possession and use of prize. ARI is not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the Promotion or in the announcement of the prizes. Decisions of ARI are final and binding in all respects.
RELEASES: By participating in this Promotion, entrants agree to release ARI and any other organizations affiliated with fulfillment, administration, prize support, advertisement or promotion of the Promotion and each of their respective parents, agents, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, prize suppliers, and each of their respective officers, directors, agents, representatives and employees, as well as each of their respective successors, representatives and assigns (collectively, the "Released Parties") from any and all actions, claims, injury, loss or damage arising in any manner, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from participation in this Promotion and/or acceptance or use of the prize.
Entrants authorize the Released Parties to use the name and submitted likeness in all media now known or hereafter discovered, for any purpose, including without limitation, in connection with, and to promote, market or advertise the Promotion, in whole or in part, without review, approval, credit or attribution, notification or payment from or to entrant or any person or entity, worldwide, in perpetuity, or on a winner's list, if applicable, unless prohibited by law. ARI is not obligated to use any of the above-mentioned information or materials, but may do so and may edit such information or materials, at ARI's sole discretion, without further obligation or compensation.
By submitting entry materials, entrants certify that such materials are original and created by entrant, that entrants have the necessary rights, permission and authority to submit such materials, and, if applicable, that entrants maintain a valid copyright in the materials.
By submitting entry materials, entrants acknowledge that they understand and agree that the Released Parties' use of material containing features and elements similar to or identical with those contained in entrants' entry materials does not entitle entrants to any compensation. By entering, entrants waive any right of action against the Released Parties in connection with the Released Parties' use of any material (or any part thereof), whether or not the material contains features or elements similar or identical to those contained in entrants' entry materials.
PRIVACY: Basic registration is required to enter. When you register, we collect personally identifying information about you, including your name, complete mailing address, and email address. This information is private and WILL NOT be shared, sold or exchanged. ARI use this information only for the drawing.
GENERAL: Except where prohibited by law, Contest Finalists will be required to complete and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Ownership/Liability Release, Publicity Release and License of entry photograph within three (3) days of notification or the entry with the next highest score may become an alternate winner. If Contest winner notification is returned as undeliverable, the entry with the next highest score may become an alternate winner. Subject to all U.S. federal, state and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited. Finalists will be issued an IRS 1099-MISC tax form in the amount of the actual prize retail value.
