A virtual reality room is being used to enable people with autism to overcome phobias. Some of the phobia scenarios include: riding a busy bus, crossing a high bridge, talking to a shop assistant, and shopping. The screens in the room create a 360-degree seamless world, without the need for the individual to wear a headset or goggles. In addition, a tablet is used to move around the scene, allowing participants to explore the situation. [more]
